Sending ETH or ERC20 tokens on MEW Mobile iOS:
Some things to keep in mind before sending:
Transaction fees are associated with every transaction on Ethereum and other blockchains. They are not determined or collected by MEW and they are only payable in the main native token of the blockchain (ETH for Ethereum). For more information about network fees, see ‘What is Gas’.
All transactions are final so please make sure to double-check EVERYTHING before sending it.
Transaction fees are required even if the transaction fails. See ‘My Transaction Failed. Why was I charged?’ for more information about that.
To Send your Crypto:
Open the MEW Mobile app.
Select the account from which you want to send, then click the ‘Send’ button.
Paste the address you’re sending to, then click ‘Continue’.
Choose the crypto you want to send and enter an amount.
Choose your transaction speed and fee from the available options.
For more information about gas and network fees, see ‘What is Gas’.
Confirm your transaction using the authentication method that you have enabled (PIN, Face ID or Fingerprint), and then wait a moment for it to process.
You can find this transaction in your recent transaction history by clicking on the clock icon in the top right corner of your account page. You can also look the transaction up on ethVM to double-check.
Receiving ETH or tokens on MEW Mobile iOS:
If someone is sending ETH or ERC20 tokens to your wallet, the sender should ONLY need the address for your wallet in order to complete the transaction.
Please note: NEVER provide your wallet recovery information (private key, recovery phrase, etc) to anyone. If someone is saying that they need that information in order to send crypto to your wallet, it’s a scam.
To Receive Crypto:
Open the MEW Mobile app.
Click on the account card that you want to receive funds to then click the ‘Deposit’ button.
Your public address should then appear along with the QR code for the wallet itself.
From here, you have the following options:
Click the ‘Share’ option, which allows you to send your public wallet address to someone via text, email, save to your files, etc.
Click the ‘Copy’ option which just copied your wallet address to your clipboard. You can then directly paste it wherever you intend to.
If the sender is near you, you can have the sender scan your QR code.
Once the transaction is completed by the sender, you should be able to see it in your assets under your account. You can also double-check a block explorer like ethVM to make sure it went through.
