MyEtherWallet (MEW) supports access with all popular wallets:

  • Hardware wallets including Ledger and Trezor

  • MEW wallet, MEW’s official mobile app for iOS and Android

  • Enkrypt, MEW's multichain web3 browser wallet

  • Mobile wallets using WalletLink and WalletConnect

  • Browser Extensions (Web3 wallets) like MetaMask

  • Software wallets (keystore, mnemonic phrase, private key). For your security, these are not recommended for access online. We suggest using these methods only with MEW offline.

Don't have a wallet? Don't LOVE your wallet? Creating a new wallet with MEW is easy.

Go to MyEtherWallet.com and select 'Access my wallet'.

Choose the crypto wallet you are using.

  1. To connect with our Enkrypt multichain web3 wallet, click on 'Enkrypt'. Confirm connection on the Enkrypt pop up to sign into MEW Portfolio dashboard. Don't have Enkrypt? Download it here and then explore our Enkrypt help articles to get set up.

  2. To use MEW wallet app with MEW Portfolio, click on 'MEW wallet app' and then scan the QR code that pops up with the code scanner in your MEW wallet. For details, see: Connect to MEW web with MEW wallet. Don't have MEW wallet? Download here, then take a look at our MEW wallet app guides.

  3. To connect with a different browser wallet like MetaMask, find the button showing your installed extension wallet on the 'Browser extension' tab and click on it. Confirm on the wallet to sign into MEW Portfolio dashboard.

  4. To use a different mobile wallet, click on 'Mobile Wallet', then select WalletConnect or WalletLink depending on your wallet's connection type. Then, scan the QR code that pops up with the code scanner in your wallet app.

  5. To use a hardware wallet, select 'Hardware wallets', and then choose the wallet you are using. Proceed to establish a connection between the hardware device and MEW Portfolio, and confirm on your device. For Trezor, see our guide on Using Trezor with MEW web. For Ledger, see Using Ledger with MEW web.

  6. MEW supports access with software methods like private key, keystore file, and mnemonic phrase. However, for your security, we only recommend using those access methods in an offline environment. For assistance with that, see MEW offline.
