Wallets created by MEW make it easy to check your balance right in the wallet.

In MEW Mobile app, see your total balance on your wallet account card, right at the top of your main wallet screen. Swipe right to see balances of additional accounts if you have them. If you need to copy your address, click the down arrow.

On Enkrypt browser extension wallet, the balance for the selected network is visible on the top of the account window on the right. Click on the 'copy' symbol to copy your wallet address.

On MEW Portfolio at https://www.myetherwallet.com/ you can connect any wallet to see your balances, manage your ETH and tokens, and much more. Your total wallet balance is in the top left corner, on the account card. Click on the 'copy' symbol to copy your wallet address.

You can also check your balance and transaction history on an Ethereum blockchain explorer like EthVM.

A blockchain explorer offers a full history of your activity. All you have to do is search your public Ethereum address, which is the 42 character string beginning with ‘0x’.

Note that when checking balances for different coins/blockchains, like ETC, you will need to use a blockchain explorer made specifically for that blockchain.

EthVM

Step 1. Head to EthVM.

Step 2. In the search bar, enter your Ethereum public address, (0x…..).

Step 3. You will be taken to a wallet overview.

  • At the top, the checksummed version of your address will be displayed. Read our article about the differences between checksummed and non-checksummed addresses.

  • Just below your address, you will see tabs for your portfolio overview, your ETH balance, NFTs, and other ERC-20 tokens. By scrolling down on each tab, you can see your transaction history for those assets.

  • Click on the entry in the 'Hash' column to see the details of that transaction.
