Create a new wallet on Enkrypt:

  1. First, download Enkrypt by heading to your web browser's extension store.

    1. Supported web browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Brave, and Edge.

  2. To avoid downloading a fake client, double-check the provider and the correct website link.

  3. Allow the time for Enkrypt to install and when it’s done, click on the Enkrypt icon in your toolbar.

    1. Make sure to pin it to your toolbar by clicking the extension icon then on clicking on the pin directly to the right of the Enkrypt extension. Doing this makes it easier to access in the future.

  4. When it opens, click on ‘Create a new wallet’.

  5. Create a password for future log in. Make sure you write down or save your password somewhere safe! The longer the password the more secure.

    1. The password must be a minimum of 8 characters and must contain numbers, letters and special characters.

  6. Click ‘Next’ when you’re done then enter the password again.

    1. Please keep in mind that there isn’t a way to restore passwords so it’s important to remember it.

  7. You’ll then be given your 12 word recovery phrase for your wallet. Make sure to write it down on a piece of paper.

    1. Please refrain from saving your Recovery phrase electronically in any way (email, text, notes in computer, etc)

    2. Please keep in mind that passwords are for daily access logins and cannot be used as import methods. In the event that the app is reinstalled or the Enkrypt wallet is reset, the recovery phrase will be required to restore access. Passwords won’t work.

  8. Click ‘Next’ when you’re done.

  9. Complete the test to double-check that the Recovery phrase has been written down correctly. Click ‘Next’ when you’re done.

  10. Perfect! Your wallet is ready! Click ‘Finish’ to start using your Enkrypt wallet!

  11. To unlock your wallet, just enter your password. If you forgot the password, click 'I forgot my password', proceed to reset your wallet, and then restore with your recovery phrase following the directions in the next section 'Import an existing wallet'.

    1. Warning: Do not reset your wallet if you don't have your recovery phrase. You can also view your recovery phrase in your Enkrypt settings
