MEW is a client-side interface that allows our users to interact with any ERC20 tokens directly on MEW Portfolio, MEW Mobile wallet, and Enkrypt browser wallet. Most tokens will show in your wallet automatically. However, if you access your wallet and you don't see the expected token, you can add it as a custom token in order to interact with it.
MEW Portfolio can help you view and manage a custom token even if it's not supported on your connecting mobile, browser, or hardware wallet. See the following guide for details.
For MEW Mobile wallet, in most cases all ERC20 tokens should automatically appear in the app. If the token isn't visible automatically, the process of adding a custom token needs to be done by connecting to MEW Portfolio on desktop. However, after adding the token on the web interface, it won't start appearing in the app as well. In order to see and interact with the token, users would need to access their wallet on MEW Portfolio every time. For assistance with this process, see the following guides:
For Enkrypt browser wallet, you can add the custom token directly in the extension. Just click 'Add custom token' at the bottom of the list of your tokens, and add the token contract address. You can find the token contract on a block explorer like ethVM.
If you experience problems adding a custom token, please contact our support team at support@myetherwallet.com for assistance.
